The Belgrave Brighton began life in 1882 as the Orleans Club, a Gentlemen's Club under the patronage of HRH The Duke of Cambridge and later became the Hotel Victoria. It continues to be one of the most well known of the town's landmarks. The hotel is an excellent venue in which to hold conferences and seminars, both large and small. The Conference Suites are equipped with the latest in audio/visual equipment, and have Video Conferencing capability. The Hotel's location at the corner of the famous Lanes area also means it is at the very heart of Brighton life. There are 63 rooms at the Belgrave, 46 with sea views. The rooms are located in two contrasting Wings. The East Wing includes two Suites, while the West Wing, contains six Junior Suites. The Suites in both Wings have panoramic views over the Promenade and Seafront, making them among the most sought-after in the town. The Seafront rooms are fully air-conditioned. Fully air-conditioned, the hotel's Cloisters restaurant will accomodate 100 people in elegance and style and is available for private functions. It is worth a visit if only to see the renovated 70 year old stained glass window of Brighton, discovered during the recent refurbishment. Delegates may choose from the A la Carte or Table d'Hote menus. Speciality dishes, including fresh Channel fish and Crustacea, are cooked to order by the Chefs de Cuisine.
